Reducing our environmental impact.
Today, climate change is a global issue in which we are all complicit. As businesses and consumers, our actions have had a devastating effect on the lives of people, oceans, and natural ecosystems globally.
At Spa, we believe that the time for change is now and without immediate action to reduce our impact on biodiversity, natural resources and improve the world for the next generation, we face a grim future.
To take actionable steps as a sustainable business, we are committed to offsetting our carbon footprint through annual donations to Mbedza Malawi – a non-profit organisation working towards the prevention and relief of poverty in Malawi.
Over the last 20 years, Mbedza has worked across key areas including Tree Planting, the building of fuel-efficient stoves, community health, HIV testing, and education programmes – helping to improve the lives of individuals and families across the Malawian region.

Challenging mass inequality
As a Fairtrade Workplace of World Changers, we are committed to challenging mass inequality by exclusively consuming Fairtrade produce in our offices. This includes products such as tea, coffee, chocolate, and sugar.
Choosing Fairtrade means that disadvantaged communities are better equipped to build vital infrastructure, new schools, and water pumps and support future generations. Our founders have also been instrumental in the Tunbridge Wells Fairtrade Town Campaign, helping to raise awareness of the Foundation and establishing Tunbridge Wells as a certified Fairtrade Town.

Prioritising Mental Health
At Spa, we’ve long championed the health and wellbeing of our people, taking steps to foster an open and supportive working environment that has a culture of care, and where everyone looks after one another.
As such, we’ve proudly created corporate partnership with West Kent Mind, a prominent mental health charity in the Sevenoaks, Tonbridge & Malling, and Tunbridge Wells – becoming its first ever Change Maker for the county.
As part of our collaboration, we’re initiating a comprehensive approach to mental health advocacy within the agency to support the wellbeing of our people, providing mental health training, and dedicated Mental Health First Aiders, alongside initiatives which aim to foster open and honest conversations surrounding health and mental wellbeing.
